We are becoming more and more excited about the 2016 National TLSM Single Moms Conference, and we can tell you guys are, too! Thank you to the hundreds of single moms and single mom supporters who have taken the leap to register for what is sure to be an awe-inspiring event. But for those of you who are still waiting, we’ve put a list together for you of the top 8 reasons to attend this year’s national single mom’s conference!
Praying single moms encourage one another. We captured this photo of a group of single mothers praying at a church service recently. It was a beautiful scene, as single moms moved forward in prayer and their peers, without prompting, moved forward to pray for them. They stood together in prayer, understanding what the other was going through, and petitioning God on behalf of their sisters.
There is power in the gathering of God’s girls. When single moms gather together and lock arms, they fully understand that they are not walking alone. They can look across a room and see faces of women who “get it”. They see that they have sisters in Christ from one end of the nation to the other, who are standing together with one mission, one goal, one heart, one vision – to be strong women of God who will not grow weak or weary, who will not be distracted or discouraged, who will not give up or give in.
We just booked Dena Rizzo, also known as the queen of hip hop. Dena has a heart for Jesus and a beautiful redemptive story of how God lovingly pursued her and radically changed her life. And….she has some serious dance moves. You just may walk away with a few new moves of your own.
NOWHERE else in the country will you go to a bigger gathering of Christian single mommas. You may just make some new friends who become lifelong sisters, half-way around the country.
The speakers we’re flying in from all over the country are powerhouse, anointed, men and women of God who are experts in their field and want to invest in you! We have put together a line-up of single parenting experts, author, and speakers who are excited to encourage, equip, and teach you everything they know in their field.
The worship will be impactful. The Healing Place Worship Band will be with us this year, and we are excited to see what God will do through our time of worship in song. There will be beautiful worship songs before each keynote session that will allow you time to just be before the Lord, hear from Him, and worship Him in your own way. This sets the tone for what He may want to speak to your heart during each teaching.
There will be a comprehensive training for ministry leaders. Learn how to minister to single parents effectively, avoiding pitfalls, and encouragement for how to not grow weary in the fight. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for ministry leaders to mingle with one another to learn and grow.
For less than the cost of a pedicure, you can attend this conference. Two days of food, fun, fellowship, information booths, and lots of surprises is available to you for only $39. There will also be goodie bags for every attendee, workshops on topics that are important to you, and time to meet and mingle with other single moms.
This conference is a great Mother’s Day gift for someone you love or a special treat for yourself! And for those of you who may be a little short on cash, we’ve seen churches do some pretty cool things, such as bake sales and garage sales to ensure single moms are able to come. We’ve even been honored to hear of a number of churches who are paying to bus or fly a group of single moms into Baton Rouge, as part of their missions budget. However you do it, walk, run, crawl, caravan, carpool, bus or fly….just get here! We want to see your beautiful faces on July 15-16, 2016 in Louisiana. It won’t be the same without you.
