A former single mother herself who once found herself homeless, Maggio founded The Life of a Single Mom Ministries to work with churches and communities around the world in establishing single parent support groups. Her nonprofit business model has been duplicated around the country as well as abroad and she has written four books encouraging single parents.

The Life of a Single Mom is a global, nonprofit organization that works to see single parents connected in support groups in their local church. The organization works with church leaders to enlighten them on the challenges single parents face, as well as effective means of ministry and communication to these families. TLSM has worked with 1500 churches in 19 countries and an estimated 22,000 single mothers and 40,000 children. The organization desires to see single mothers shatter statistics, as well as know their full potential and value.
