The Life of a Single Mom, a national, faith-based nonprofit, is hiring a Funds Development Manager. The Life of a Single Mom exists to see that no single mom walks alone by establishing single mom support groups in churches throughout the U.S., providing online education via Single Mom University, ministering to incarcerated single moms, hosting large single mom empowerment events nationally, conducting case management services, and more.
Position of Funds Development Manager offers benefits, competitive pay, great hours, and generous vacation package. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:45am-4:15pm and Fridays, 9am-1pm. Applicant must be able to work at The Life of a Single Mom  Ideal applicant will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable speaking in both large and small crowds, energetic, passionate, and able to think on your feet, thriving in a fast-paced environment with a demand for multi-tasking. Funds Development Manager applicants will be asked to provide examples of such skills.
Duties for the Funds Development Manger include, but are not limited to: Grant Writing, Research, and Editing. Management of support staff in funding department. Public presentations in both large and small settings. Donor cultivation & stewardship. Planning, organizing, and leading annual fundraiser events. Applicant must feel comfortable reaching out to potential donors on behalf of The Life of a Single Mom to facilitation business meetings to secure funds and partnership procurement.
Qualifications for the Funds Development Manager such as a college degree, nonprofit experience, sales, manager experience and knowledge of single parenting community are all bonuses.
