The Life of a Single Mom Conference Will Take Place in Pensacola This Weekend
Baton Rouge, Louisiana – 10:00am CST. Please be advised that after careful consideration, The Life of a Single Mom has decided to continue with our Pensacola Single Mom Conference this weekend, being held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Olive Baptist Church. We have monitored the weather closely over the last several days and will continue to do so. After much discussion with our staff, stakeholders, board of directors, and Olive Baptist Church staff, we do feel the event is far enough inland and eastward of the storm trajectory that attendees will be safe.
All booked speakers will be there, as originally slated. Childcare and meals will be provided. All conference details, as originally released, are expected to remain unchanged.
However, out of an abundance of caution, we do highly recommend that any registered attendee consider not attending, if you live in a low-lying area, an area prone to flooding, or have any personal safety concerns or reservations. If any pre-registered attendee cannot attend due to weather, we will issue a three-month membership to Single Mom University, in lieu of attendance. Single Mom University has over 100 life skills classes taught by nationally-renowned experts in three core areas: Parenting, Finances, and Health & Wellness.
