A Prayer for Single Moms on Mother’s Day
Father God, we thank you for each and every woman you have blessed with the privilege of motherhood. We thank you that you are teaching each single mother how to be a Godly steward of each of her children, and that they will raise them up in the ways of the Lord. Father, we pray and ask that You continue to give them grace to walk out being a single parent with kindness, goodness, gentleness, love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control. We pray that each single mother has a relationship with You, and worships You in spirit and truth.
As you pray let peace take over your mind. Peace and the single mom can help when you are stressed and need relief. HERE.
Help each of your precious daughters to remember that although they are parenting alone, you have not left them nor forsaken them. We thank you that you see each of them, bottle every tear they have shed, and love them immensely. Lord, if they are weary, we pray that you send them a Godly sister in Christ to hold up their arms in the battle, just as Aaron did for Moses.
Lord, thank you that you care about every big or small thing that concerns them. Their lives matter to you. Place a hedge of protection around each single mother and her children, Father, we ask you. We thank you that you alone are their provider. Where there seems to be lack, Father, bring them overflow and abundance in every way. We ask that you continue to teach, guide, lead, direct, encourage, equip, fortify, strengthen, and sustain each single mother-led family. We pray that the supernatural hand of God would be so evident in their lives that they could not help but give you glory, despite challenges or obstacles.
We pray against the plan and strategies of the enemy. We thank you that you have provided every tool in the arsenal for effective spiritual warfare. Lord, teach us how to fervently pray, for it avails much. Teach us endurance and tenacity and perseverance in the faith. Teach us how to war in the spirit for our children, when it seems like there is no hope. Help us continue to seek your will, your face, and your presence. In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we ask all these things. Amen.
