Shauna Sanford


Shauna Sanford is serving as our emcee. Shauna grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated from Howard University, in Washington, D.C, with a B.S. in Zoology. Shauna landed her first broadcasting job back in 1993 at WIBR-AM, an all-sports radio station in Baton Rouge. After leaving the business for a short time to work with the Recovery School District, Shauna is currently the co-anchor of Louisiana: The State We’re In for Louisiana Public Broadcasting.


Julio MelaraWhat a great privilege it is to host Julio Melara as our guest speaker this year. Julio is an entrepreneur, publisher and author. He is president and co-owner of Louisiana Business Inc., a multi-media publishing company which publishes Business Report, 225 Magazine, InRegister magazine, Daily Report and many other niche publications, websites and e-newsletters. He is the author of five books, Do You Have The Time For Success?, It Only Takes Everything You’ve Got!, Keys To Performance, 15 Power Points To Ignite Your Success! and Mental Snacks.

He currently serves as one of the seven commissioners of the Louisiana Superdome Commission, is former President of the National Alliance of Area Business Publications and serves on various boards including:  Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Iberia Bank, Arts Council of Baton Rouge, Arts Council of Baton Rouge, Our Lady of the Lake Foundation and the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
