What Do I Need to Know About the National Single Mom’s Conference?

[/fusion_text]
The Life of a Single Mom Ministries defines single mothers as divorced, separated, never married, military wives, widows, moms with incarcerated or incapacitated spouses, or foster moms. Because this event is a women-only event catered to single moms and single mom supporters, we welcome any woman to be a part of the National TLSM Single Moms conference.
The conference will be held in Louisiana’s state capital, Baton Rouge, at Healing Place Church at 19202 Highland Road. Healing Place is one of the largest churches in the south with a beautiful arena, a lake with walking track, and plenty of parking. Their generosity to single moms has been a long-standing relationship with The Life of a Single Mom, and we are excited to partner with them!
Friday night will kick off at 6:45pm with a conference opener, praise and worship music from the Healing Place Worship Band, and a keynote speaker with plenty of surprises throughout the weekend. On Saturday, your day will start at 8:00am, where you will enjoy a yummy breakfast with your kids, a keynote message, and your choice of a variety of single-mom breakout sessions covering a range of topics designed with you in mind. Lunch will also be provided and the conference will end at approximately 1pm local time. There will also be vendor booths with tons of free information for single moms! There will be an after-party on Saturday, complete with delicious sweets.
While there will be light snacks & food given out on Friday night after the breakout sessions, we do recommend you eat prior to the conference on Friday. On Saturday, breakfast and lunch will be provided. Children registered for childcare will also be fed. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate special dietary needs and ask you to please consider packing a lunch, if you have allergies.
Each breakout session was designed with you in mind. We surveyed attendees from last year and these were the most popular topics requested. You will hear from all breakout session speakers at least once from the main stage and you will choose 2 breakouts to attend.
While The Life of a Single Mom Ministries works with a number of churches nationally, we are not affiliated with any church. Therefore, we fund 100% of the conference. To provide meals, entertainment, after-party, gifts & surprises, and national speakers is a significant expense, and we do not relay most of those costs to you. However, we do ask you to make a small investment to help offset total costs.
Can I host a vendor booth at the conference? There are a number of promotional opportunities available for marketing. Please email info@thelifeofasinglemom.com for more information.
Group discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.  To register your group, please contact our office directly for discounts at (225)341-8055 or info@thelifeofasinglemom.com.
Many women attend in support of a friend or family member. Single Moms Ministry Leaders or those hoping to launch a single moms support group are also highly encouraged to attend. In fact, we beg you to come be inspired! It’s a great way to show your support for single moms in your life and learn new ways to minister to them. There will be breakout sessions that address topics that are relevant to all women.
There is no registration deadline for this event. However, we do fully expect that this conference will sell out, so we recommend registration as soon as possible.
Yes, our goal is to equip single mom ministry leaders with effective tools to minister to single moms in their church and community. We work with more than 1,500 churches globally to ensure pastors and leaders are equipped in the ministry. We’ll have ministry time just for you!

This year, The Life of a Single Mom is excited to partner with Courtyard Marriott Baton Rouge as our official hotel sponsor. A special rate of $99 per room is available. To book, click HERE.

Additionally, guests have the option of booking with Holiday Inn Express for $129.00. To book with Holiday Inn, guests must call 225-778-5722 by 8/22/2017 and mention The Life of a Single Mom to get the rate.

*** Please note that all hotel rates are first-come, first-serve and limited space is available.

Childcare is provided for children ages 6 weeks through 11 years old at $5 per child. Childcare space is limited, due to size of conference. Registration is required and no children will be allowed in the main sessions. We do recommend that if you have alternative childcare you take advantage of that, so we can accommodate as many precious single moms as possible.
We recognize that single dads who are raising children alone need encouragement and resources, too, which is why The Life of a Single Mom has partnered with a number of agencies and events nationally to do so. However, our national TLSM single moms’ conference will be a ladies-only conference.
Baton Rouge is Louisiana’s state capital and we have plenty to do! Visit our Baton Rouge Tourist Page HERE. Also, New Orleans is also just a short hour’s drive and it, too, offers a great day of fun. Visit New Orleans Tourist Page HERE.
